a lil’ late, but i wanted to get my last post of 2014 up. this is the outfit i wore last night to grab a few margs with a friend. i hadnt been out in, i dont even know how long, so there was quite a mess before i left. but this my bunny told me she liked this skirt the best so this was the winner. my favorite part though… this choker from rue 21 that my sister got me for christmas. i dont wear a lot of necklaces, they irritate me but i will happily rock a choker. it’s a really cool piece and works well with the booties. i also just want to point out that’ll ill be working a lot on my blog in the new year, revamping it a lot, so i hope everyone continues to read and enjoy it as much as i do. happy new year! stay safe.

a good way to start the week…with a new post. featuring my amazing christmas present from my hubby. i kept this outfit super casual with the exception of these shoes. im so in love with these. i would wear these with anything probably. they just scream “romy and michele” and they add that cool factor to any easy look.

just wanted to share the finished product! forgive my hair. it decided to downpour the second we stepped out of the car. side note, if anyone from the charleston is reading this, you have to go to magnolias and order the seared scallop appetizer. it’ll blow your mind. seriously. i hope your holiday was filled with excitement, good food, and lots of love.

merry christmas, everyone! i wanted to share my christmas eve look which is, as i mentioned, an old dress. last year we decided that our christmas eve tradition would be dinner at an amazing restaurant in downtown charleston, magnolias. being away from family is hard, but around the holidays, its even harder so doing something special and a lil pricey is what gets us by. this leads me to why i decided to recycle a dress. i have made it my mission for my daughter to have a bomb christmas and spending even a lil extra on myself just wasnt something i wanted to do. i got this dress from h&m years ago for my bridal shower. i still think its absolutely stunning. its from their conscious collection. i love it. my besty actually just let me open my xmas gift early which was the necklace shown. how perfect is it for this dress! thanks, muhree. it’s been a while so me and my family got to all get fancy so im really looking forward to our new christmas tradition. i cant wait to show ya’ll a pic when the look is all put together!

i waited quite a while for this sweater. but i knew there’d come a time when windsor gave me a discount along with free shipping. as a mom, sometimes thats just what you have to do. so when i got this open back sweater, i wore it out almost immediately. it’s been chilly down here in the charleston area, but, by no means, cold so this sweater is sort of perfect. the open back keeps it from being so stuffy which i think sweaters can be. thats why i dont really like them too much. when i was putting this outfit together, i also tried the sweater with a high waisted black maxi skirt which also looked very nice. i also want to say that the quality of this sweater is amazing. so i want to thank windsor for that!

im back. and im talking about basics. i ran into kohls the other day because my daughter wanted to pick out a new sweatshirt and i ran by the juniors section. not really the section that i shop in anymore but i often think about these mudd tanks i used to have. i was very pleased to see long sleeve tees in the same fabric as those special tanks were. (polyster/rayon) they’re so soft and loose. so comfy. so i bought 1. and whats my advice with basics we love? buy them in more than 1 color! so i had to run back while the bunny was at dance class and grab another one. the best part, these were on sale for $5.99, plus kohls is all about the coupons so it was even less. basic tops like these and at a price like that are exactly the kind of thing a sahm like myself lives for. u can wear them all day long with leggings or jeans, but its super easy to dress them up with a skirt and/or heels if you ever get that night out. i posted some links for other great basics that i found.
