im back. and im talking about basics. i ran into kohls the other day because my daughter wanted to pick out a new sweatshirt and i ran by the juniors section. not really the section that i shop in anymore but i often think about these mudd tanks i used to have. i was very pleased to see long sleeve tees in the same fabric as those special tanks were. (polyster/rayon) they’re so soft and loose. so comfy. so i bought 1. and whats my advice with basics we love? buy them in more than 1 color! so i had to run back while the bunny was at dance class and grab another one. the best part, these were on sale for $5.99, plus kohls is all about the coupons so it was even less. basic tops like these and at a price like that are exactly the kind of thing a sahm like myself lives for. u can wear them all day long with leggings or jeans, but its super easy to dress them up with a skirt and/or heels if you ever get that night out. i posted some links for other great basics that i found.

something casual for ya’

hey there. i hope everyone is enjoying my newly updated blog. my hubby helped me out a lot because like i said, the “behind the scenes” of this blog gets me very kerbobbled. im trying to figure it out and im really pushing for this blog to go somewhere. right now my main goal is to get a larger audience before i can even think about the next steps. so please keep coming back and tell all your friends to check me out. almost literally… this is a fashion blog anyways. lol. but anyways, today on the blog is my casual, running my daughter to and from school, outfit. but can we talk about the 90’s trend of tying your flannel around your waist? im obsessed. it really does make something simple look so cool. and i always love a trend that comes back with a bang. plus, its a good cover up if you are not feeling too hot about something that day. we all have those moments ladies. its o-kay.

another day, another selfie, another outfit. today’s outfit was simple for running errands with the little one. story time, craft store for birthday party supplies, and of course, a stop at starbucks. i was thinking recently about how my blog should be gathering more of an audience, especially in the sahm department. i love all the fashion blogs i follow (cara loren, peace love shea,  hello fashion) because i think more expensive clothing with a label or not is just really beautiful, but they arent realistic for me. i cant wear kate spade heels or anything by alexander wang…probably ever. would i like to? of course i would!!!  but im blogging about how im a trendy mom who is interested in the fashion that my wallet will allow. how do i reach more people like me is my question.

just a side note on that, i think cara loren reaches a lot of people because she is a blogger who does a really great job mixing forever 21 with chanel.

today on the blog, im sharing a favorite piece of mine and a favorite piece in general. i think rocking a jumpsuit takes some confidence, but i also think that more women should give them a chance. 1, it’s probably the easiest thing to throw on other than jeans and a t-shirt… hello, its one piece. 2, they are so fashion forward without really trying. if you have on a jumpsuit, you already exude “fashionista”, no matter price or label. and i think thats really important for moms who would rather spend their money on their child’s upcoming birthday party. so this particular jumpsuit is, again, from asos. this was another steal in the lil’ game i like to play in their sale section. i get so many compliments on this, literally from a mom in gym shorts to an elderly lady to a pretty southern belle selling mary kay products. the compliments make me adore this jumpsuit even more so please keep them coming.

ps – everyone meet giselle!
